• Pacak 巴查克

Pacak is a queer Indigenous Paiwan singer-songwriter from Ulaljuc Village, Pingtung, Taiwan. Singing in his mother tongue, his music blends R&B, traditional Indigenous elements, and dance music, rooted in the land, cultural memory, and lived experience of his community. His work explores identity, cultural consciousness, and gender diversity, shaping a distinct voice in contemporary Indigenous music.

His debut album Tiaken — Myself (2023) is a personal yet political response to queer identity and self-definition, later earning the Q Power Spirit Award. Through his practice, Pacak centers LGBTQ+ visibility within Indigenous contexts, using music as a space for dialogue, resistance, and healing.
